Increased Self-Sustainability

Extra important now is Self-Sustainability

During the time we are in now, conflicts in the world will arise in many places – as a result of a too low consciousness level in people.  This creates conflicts. If we raise conscioiusness, conflicts will ceace. Read more about this under background, cultural ecology and prerequisite.

Food

Sweden has a self-sufficiency rate in food of 30-50%. If food imports fail, we will starve in this country in a short time. Building up a buffer for such scenarios is important. Sweden’s emergency stockpile has been closed and according to MSB (the Swedish Security and Emergency Management Agency), our grocery stores have the responsibility to provide foods in times of crisis. But if the stores don’t get imports from abroad – then there is no food no matter what. It goes without saying that we must increase our preparedness in terms of food supplies here at home. In addition to becoming self-sufficient in foods in Sweden (i.e. grown in Sweden), we should all make an effort to do this.

We can all contribute to increased self-sufficiency. This does not mean that we all individually have to grow all our own food, but we can do “something” towards increased self-sustainability. How much effort we put in simply depends on how much we want to do.

We get a lot of carbohydrate-rich food by growing e.g. potatoes, carrots, etc. There is a lot to read about this on many Internet sites eg:
https://grow-here.com/

It is also possible to grow protein-rich food: eg.

Fatty food. e.g. grow hazelnuts and walnuts:

It might be good to have laying hens, if you have the time and energy:

Water

It is good to have an alternative water source for drinking water. Make sure to keep your private wells running so that they can deliver this.

Heating

Alternative heat sources are good to have, e.g. wood stove, and/or gas stove.
